Llangoed Hall Wedding

To have your Llangoed Hall wedding at the castle you first need to know the history that tells us, that Mrs Laura Ashley would pass the huge castle near Hay-on-Wye in Wales and often remark to her husband Bernard, that it would make a beautiful hotel, and that it should be restored.  Sadly, the old castle (dating back to 1632) wasn’t for sale during this time, but some years after her death the option to purchase came into fruition.  Sir Bernard Ashley seized the opportunity to buy the hotel in memory of Laura and her vision of turning it into a hotel.  Sir Bernard did exactly that, overhauling the castle into a destination of spectacular grandeur, and a unique venue for a wedding  with exclusive use

Today Llangoed Hall can be enjoyed as a luxury 5-star hotel and as an amazing venue to get married. The hotel provides a wonderful array of rooms and natural light for your wedding photographs.  It really is the perfect wedding reception.

The hotel is also the ultimate venue to celebrate your special occasion, with dedicated and highly experienced staff who will make certain that your day is one that lives long in the memory.

Llangoed Hall Wedding

Cali and James had chosen to split their service into a humanist, non-religious wedding ceremony where they wrote their own script and vows.  They tailored the day to meet their requirements, and after a quick break and drinks with guests, it was off for a small civil service in one of the wonderful drawing rooms to seal the day “Officially”

The guests were served drinks and canapés on the Terrace warmed by the sun, looking out to the gardens and mountain beyond.  With wall to wall sunshine ordered for the day it was lovely seeing everyone drinking and having fun with Cali and James to celebrate their big day at their Llangoed  Hall Wedding.  The wedding breakfast was prepared and ready to be served in the Orangery, which has two big patio doors to open the room out and let the garden ambiance in.

Cali and James chose to have their wedding outside in the hotel gardens, the staff were on hand all day to plan the smallest detail, with advice on every aspect, including showing the florists the layout and making us wedding photographers a cup of tea in the morning (always a good start).

The day finally ended with the amazing Velveteens rocking the night out with big hits, and filling the room with their unique sound and vibe, all helping me photograph some dodgy dad dancing at your Llangoed Hall wedding

X Dave
